Building community with other interracial partners.
We also want to build community with other interracial partners and with interracial couples who have little people (children). Mixed race/biracial/multiracial children often do not have additional community where they can explore their racial/ethnic identities and we feel like we should be coming alongside them as they navigate this aspect of their social identities. As a US born Nigerian, I (Chidimma) remember how much I felt a part of the African Christian Fellowship organization, especially when we would convene for our regional or national conferences. Community is incredibly important and grounding.
