Andre's story has a very meaningful moral message, especially for white folks who are still part of the church, and those who have left. His words should serve to prompt an honest self-appraisal of our relationships as well as an interrogation of the church. Moreover, for those of us who identify as Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) / People of Color (POC) / People of the Global Majority (PGM) my hope is that you can practice renewal and reset as you process trauma you've experienced so that you can live your best life.
